Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global April 2022 blog hop. The theme this month is Vellum.
As part of the Scrapbooking Global Stampin' Up! Facebook group, this is my first month participating in the monthly blog hop.
The blog hop theme got me excited to use vellum on a scrapbook page ... it was really more of a challenge for me because I have three sons and using vellum doesn't seem 'manly' enough in my mind. I scanned Pinterest looking for layouts that would fit my ideas and use a variety of photo sizes.
My pages feature the Beauty of the Earth 12x12 Designer Series Paper, the Evergreen Border Punch, and the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum.
I pulled the greens from the DSP - Garden Green, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. To incorporate the Shimmer Vellum I chose the darker of the greens, Evening Evergreen. The DSP is great with the photos from Itasca State Park (the Headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River).
The grid style of the second page allows for up to nine photos, or you can opt to alternate photos and DSP.
I plan to use one of the DSP squares to add journaling on a piece of Basic White.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to head on over to Jill Hamlett's page to see what she created. Enjoy hopping along to see the beautiful projects that everyone else created!

Fun pages. I love Itasca Stat Park - so may memories walking across the beginning of the Mississippi river! Great choice selecting the shimmer paper to use with the tree punch. Glad you joined the hop!ReplyDelete
Good choices that shimmer vellum is beautiful and works perfectly on this pageReplyDelete
I'm always looking for great ways to scrapbook outdoor adventures! I love the grid style and how you incorporated multiple photos and designer series paper together. The shimmer vellum adds a perfect touch to accent the trees.ReplyDelete
