Winter Woods Sympathy

This weekend I had a fun and inspiring meeting with Sue Lehrer's team (she's my upline and she's awesome). We made a beautiful decor item which I will showcase on Wednesday once I finish the coloring. I wanted to start out with a warm fuzzy and not jump right in to today's featured card because it's a sympathy card, and although I think it's lovely, I find sympathy cards somewhat sad.

Winter Woods is a stunning set from the Holiday Catalog (see page 27). This card was inspired by a swap card that was on display at the Extravaganza and I could not get over how stunning Whisper White and Gray Granite are together with a touch of vellum.

Card Composition:
1-base is Thick Whisper white cut standard at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" then folded in half
2-Gray Granite cut to 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" and you can save paper by punching 3 leaves out before assembling.
3-Whisper White cut to 3" x 4" and stamped the birch trees to cover the paper using Gray Granite ink.
4-Punch 2 vellum leaves and use the 3 leaves from #2 to decorate underneath the sentiment.
5-Whisper White oval cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits stamped with Gray Granite using the set Flourishing Phrases (AC p18). The sentiment could easily be swapped out for another if your heart desired.

Don't forget to stop back on Wednesday to see my complete decor canvas!

Happy Stamping!
