Today is the beginning of something new and I'm excited to get a jump start on my Holiday cards. The card I created to debut my holiday showcase is a blend of new colors and paper, mixed with an 'old' set from the Annual Catalog. Drumroll please .....
When I found this set, Snowflake Sentiments, I had accidentally moved it to my retired pile! THE HORROR!!! I fixed that mistake right away and decided to use it on my card.
For this fun fold ... I folded the front of the card backwards in half to give some dimension before layering the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the flap. DSP is cut at 2" x 4-1/8"
The sentiment is stamped using Merry Merlot on a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Whisper White. After wrapping the Merry Merlot and Copper 5/8" Reversible Ribbon, I layered onto a Sahara Sand piece cut to 2-3/4" x 4-1/4". A tip for attaching the sentiment to the partial front is to put dimensionals on two corners of the sentiment AND one or two more along the fold of the front flap as shown below.
A quick stamp on the inside (keep it centered so it won't show when the card is closed) and you are set with your first card for the season.
Thanks for joining me on my Holiday18 kickoff! Please follow this blog so you get notifications when I post new ideas.
Happy Stamping!
Autumn
